We are introducing you to the latest piece of work built by Dixer Parts from Poland. This is the BMW K100 RS from 1990. Our main mission is production of motorcycle parts, which is why we used many of our bestsellers for this project.

The main goal was to create a motorcycle that will delight with minimalism. We wanted to create some empty spaces under the seat and above the engine. This was achieved thanks to the use of a lithium-ion battery (which was hidden under the rear fairing) and thanks to the Motogadget M-unit blue controller, which eliminated lots of unnecessary electrical installation.

It was pure pleasure for us to work with this model. We’ve encountered many interesting situations that will be mentioned on our Instagram and Facebook profile. One of them was the purchase of a set of two police BMW R850 RT just to achieve spoked wheels that are difficult to access separately.

In the project “ZERO” we’ve used a few cool solutions that cannot be seen with the naked eye, e.g. on each varnished element there is an aluminum, brushed foil. The rear fairing was made on a 3D printer and the ignition can be turned on via Bluetooth on a specially configured Motogadget smartphone application.

The assembly of the USD front suspension in this type of projects is starting to become a standard. Our K100 received lags from Suzuki GSX-R 1000 K7 (beautiful black pipes). We’ve made the lower and top triple along with the stem ourselves – this is what we love to do the most. As you probably noticed, they are inverted, which means that the nut is at the bottom. Thanks to this we have obtained a smooth top triple.

We unanimously decided that we will borrow the headlight along with its roof from the Harley Davidson XL 1200 Sportster. It was mounted on the upper yoke, so that we wouldn’t litter the lags with an additional handle. The turn signals in the handlebar were produced by Motogadget, while the rear LED lamp was placed  in a fairing that was made using 3D-printing technology. Thanks to this, it was possible to perfectly fit the battery inside it. In addition to the ability of charging the battery without disassembling any parts, we also have a hidden USB charger, so that it is possible to start the motorcycle when the driver is using the “keyless” function and his phone’s battery has run out.

Our K100 appeared in the MOTOCYKL journal (7/2020) and on portals such as:
