DID connecting links for stunt

A rivet or clip master link – these are the links that connect the two ends of the chain to each other. They differ in two things: strength and form of fastening. Rivets are more durable compared to clips. Rivets require a special crimper to crush the protruding ends of the rivets so that the chain plate does not slip out.

The fastener simply slides onto the pins using pliers. For safety reasons, D.I.D recommends the use of ZJ-type riveted links for riveting chains for which such a connecting link is offered. It is particularly important to use ZJ connecting links for X-rings. The cap has comparable strength to other chain component links, which is the result of a new design – a riveted pin head.
