The master cylinder is one of the basic components of the braking system of a motorcycle equipped with brake lines. The task of the pump is to force the fluid pressure in the brake system in a way that the motorcycle wheel is braked with a force adequate to the driver's pressure on the brake lever.

Serial pumps are often replaced by more powerful ones or those with different operating characteristics. The pump should be matched to the number and diameter of the pistons in the brake calipers. Therefore, for systems with a single, floating, two-piston caliper, we suggest radial pumps with a piston diameter of 13mm. A brake setup built with two four-piston calipers should have a pump with a piston diameter of 16mm or more. In handbrake systems, we usually install radial master cylinders with a separate reservoir, so you can put it on the left handlebar (remember to bleed the pump set with the vent up). Dixer Parts also offers Magura HC1 clutch master cylinders, that work with DOT brake fluid, which means they are designed to be mounted on the left side and can be used for Handbrake systems.
