Front steel stunt stay

What is a front crash cage and why should it be replaced? Let’s explain. You can ride on one wheel often or rarely. If you ride often and your motorcycle is equipped with fairings, the original crash cage that holds the headlamp, fairing, counter and mirrors will start to crack sooner or later.

Front fairing for Stunt

This happens when the front wheel hits the ground during a wheelie descent. You can find quite a few videos of the entire front section falling off and hanging on the front wing. The process of tearing off the stock crash cage can be greatly accelerated by riding on the tank with your legs over the handlebars (high chair). It is very common then to kick or push too hard on the front fairing. The lamp mount is usually made of plastic and mounted on four screws to the frame. Our crash cage are made of steel, and thanks to the maximum reduction in weight: they weigh approximately 2 kg. It is hard to count the number of photos we got from customers after crashes, where only the fairing was damaged, thanks to using our crash cage, thus protecting the expensive dials and relays.

When choosing to ride with full fairings, it is worth investing in a steel front crash cage (selling your original crash cage can often recoup the cost of buying a steel crash cage). Dixer Parts bestsellers include the front crash cages for the Kawasaki ZX6-R 636 (2003-2004), and we are selling increasingly more of these parts for the Kawasaki ZX6-R over 2013. Note: take a look at the photos on our website for a clever way to mount the left-hand handlebar switches on our crash cage.
